BIOGRAPHY

Bigjon, born Jonathan Harris, is an independent hip-hop artist from Baltimore, Maryland, recognized for his honest storytelling, lyrical depth, and respect for hip hop culture. His passion for music began at age twelve, when he was drawn to hip hop’s power of expression and storytelling. Influenced by iconic artists such as Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G., Eminem, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lauryn Hill, and others, Bigjon developed a strong appreciation for lyricism, flow, and meaningful content. At sixteen, he began writing and performing his own music, using popular beats to refine his craft. He performed at school events and church gatherings, earning positive responses for his songwriting, vocals, and stage presence. His musical foundation was further strengthened by years of singing in his church choir, where he later led performances, building versatility and confidence as an artist. After high school, Bigjon stepped away from music to focus on education. He attended Towson University, majoring in Media Production, and graduated in 2019 with a 3.5 GPA. He entered broadcasting but eventually felt creatively unfulfilled, prompting a return to music. In summer 2024, Bigjon officially resumed his music career and released his debut EP, HERE I COME, on January 1, 2025. The six-track project showcased his songwriting and was recorded primarily in Baltimore, with one track completed in New York City. Throughout 2025, he gained momentum through live performances, media appearances, and new releases, including singles “Level Up,” “Don’t Mess With the Flock,” and “Persona.” Driven by purpose and personal loss, Bigjon dedicates his work to his late mother and grandmother. Committed to authenticity and storytelling, he continues pushing forward with focus, resilience, and a clear artistic vision.
